Breed Education Coordinator & Clubs meeting - 25 July 2023

Judges lists:

BEC requested Clubs to review the current A lists to achieve uniformity as they remain valid until end 2025 now.

Observed appointments:

There must be at least 7 dogs present on the day for an observed judging appointment to happen.

Mentoring:

BEC is happy to be approached for a judge recommendation who meets the required level.
A minimum of 5 dogs needed for a mentoring session and should be a good cross section of the breed i.e. age, maturity, gender and quality.

Currently we have 9 approved mentors for the breed.

Breed Appreciation Day :

Numbers awaiting BAD have fallen off which is proving difficult to host these cost effectively.

 Agreement to host a collaborative BAD on behalf of all UK BMD clubs was booked for September 2023. This was later cancelled due to lack of candidates coming forward.

It is now expected that with more networking and advertising within all UK BMD clubs this will now be possible in 2024 with co-ordination via the BMDC of GB, BEC.
